Overhead to outbuilding

A customer hired us to run a single 20 amp circuit to their outbuilding. They wanted to run it overhead to avoid tearing up their parking area for their vehicles. Since there will be vehicles below these lines, the code requires that they be a minimum of 12 feet above final grade. Since it was an outbuilding, the circuit had to be GFCI protected, but being a single 20 amp circuit meant that we could use a single 20 amp breaker coming from the main panel for the property. We used overhead service drop cable with a messenger wire to go overhead, rigid conduit for the masts, and water-tight connectors to prevent corrosion and water damage. We appreciate the customer trusting us with this installation.
